South West Coast of France

As with a lot of these towns there is an "old city" with the newer suburbs of Arles built up around it. This is the old church, Notre Dame de la Major. Some archaelogical finds here date back to the 1100s but the majority was destroyed in the revolution. There are still sections that date to the 1600s but it was bombed in 1944 destroying a lot of that too.
